HOME MISSIONS
As will be seen in the Kalendar Notes, the Home Mission Meeting will be held on Monday evening, June 5th, in the National School-room, at 7.30. The Rev. Samuel York, Vicar of Ascot, Oxon, organizing secretary of the Midland district, will attend as representative of the Additional Curates Society, and will give an address on the Society's work in London, the Docks, and Portsmouth. There will be no charge for admission, but a collection in aid of the Society will be made during the meeting. Home mission work is most interesting and important, and calls for our help and our prayers. We trust that the room will be well filled with sympathizing friends, although all cannot give largely to the funds of the Society.

FLOWER SHOW
A meeting on the Flower Show Committee and of others interested in the Flower Show was held in the Parish room at the Vicarage, on Wednesday, May 17th, for the purpose of receiving from the Hon. Sec. and Treasurer the accounts of last year's Show, and to make arrangements for the future. The accounts shew that the large sum of £40.16s.1d. was paid for admission to the field last August, and that there is a balance in hand of £11.17s.10d.

Russell J Kerr, Esq., kindly signified his willingness to continue President of the Committee, and to further, as far as possible, the success of the Show. Mr Douglas J Wintle was kind enough to undertake again the duties of Secretary and Treasurer. It was determined to hold the Show, as in former years, on the 1st Monday in August, (Bank Holiday), in the orchard and field kindly lent by James Wintle Esq., at Hill House Farm. As a new feature in the prize list, it was decided to offer two prizes (£1.1s., and 10s.6d.) for the best-kept Cottager's Garden. These prizes may given for either flower or vegetable gardens, or for both combined, and will be awarded by the Committee, who will visit the gardens from time to time during July - just before the Flower Show. Those who wish to enter for these prizes must send in their names before June 20th. We hope that the number of competitors, for all the prizes will be larger than ever before, and that a great many will enter for the "Well-kept garden" prize.

PAROCHIALIA.
The annual Government Examination for the District of Pupil Teachers was held at the Nation School, on Saturday, May 27th, under the direction of H Waddington Esq. Her Majesty's Inspector. There were present 17 Pupil Teachers: from Newnham National School (6); Blakeney National (2); Blakeney British (3); Westbury-on Severn (3); HUNTLEY (2); Chaxhill (1).
The Government Inspection of our Schools is fixed for Tuesday and Wednesday, June 27th and 28th.

The annual Jocham Charity sermon was preached on the 14th of May, and 15 suits of boy's clothes were given away, after Morning Service, on Monday the 15th.

We hope that the Choir of our Church will take part in the Choral Festival, to be held in the Cathedral, on Wednesday, June 7th, when it is computed that 600 voices - representing nearly 30 city and country choirs - will be engaged in the Service. A rehearsal by all the choirs will take place at 11.30, and the Service, when the Rev. C J Atherton, vicar of S. Paul's, Bedminster, is announced as the preacher, is fixed for 3 o'clock.

No. 7 Battery of the Gloucestershire Artillery Volunteers, numbering 58 rank and file, 3 sergeants - under the command of Captain and Hon Major Carter, attended Church Parade on Whitsun Day. The Battery was headed by he Newnham Town Band.
