This photo was found in a large collection from my grandmother, Annie
House Pritchard (whose 1919
wedding at Bream, near Lydney, Glos, is pictured elsewhere). During
the Second World War (WWII), Annie ran Rosemont Guesthouse, at 44, High
St., Lydney, Gloucestershire. A number of American
G.I. servicemen were billeted
there, so this could
be a souvenir
of
one of them. There were many US Army GI's in the Forest of Dean prior
to the 'D-Day' landings. However, several Pritchard
siblings ...two (possibly three) brothers and a married sister emigrated from
the Forest of Dean to the United States and I'm wondering if the men
in the photo just might be relatives".
Stamped on the reverse is JIMINEZ over MAGGARD STUDIO over ASHLAND, KY.
for Kentucky, U.S.A..
Patty Osborne added (December 2015): "... I'm not sure who this would be but the house appears to be one located off of Montgomery Ave ...".
Does anybody recognise what appears to be a father and his two sons?"
