| John
wrote (Mar 2007) "This is a photo of my grandparents Sydney and
Beatrice Beach with their children Gwen
(my mother) and Jack. Sid was the owner of 'The Bristol House Stores'
in Cinderford. Jack
joined the RAF but unfortunately was lost in action over Burma in World
War II. The picture was taken in the early 1930's". John thinks
that the photo was taken in Church Road and added "Jack Beach is mentioned
on the Cinderford War Memorial but as John Albert Beach. He is also mentioned
on the East Dean Grammar School Memorial Roll which is kept at The Council
Offices, Cinderford ..... and on the Memorial walls of the Kranji War Cemetery,
Singapore". |
