Gerald Hoare added (Jan 2008): "The E. Kilby is I think one of several brothers who played rugby for Berry Hill and Cinderford. Harry Kilby was captain of Berry Hill in the early 1920's, he then emigrated to America where his daughter Roberta still lives. I go out each year to see her but she knows little about her family as two other brothers went to America and Canada repectively. Her mother May was a sister to my grandmother Edith White (nee Harris), who were a large family from Five Acres of which two are still surviving".

Cynthia Hawkins Wood added (July 2011): "... B. Hawkins front row right is Albert Bert Ernest Hawkins who emigrated to America in 1909. He married an American girl whose Stephens ancestors also from West Dean left for America in 1846. C. Hawkins back row 2nd from left is Caleb Henry Hawkins and F. Hawkins back row 3rd from left is Frederick Ernest Hawkins. Bert and Caleb were first cousins. Fred was their first cousin once removed".
