{"id":6357,"date":"2024-02-20T10:11:27","date_gmt":"2024-02-20T10:11:27","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.sungreen.co.uk\/sg-press\/?p=6357"},"modified":"2024-03-02T14:24:23","modified_gmt":"2024-03-02T14:24:23","slug":"lydbrook-cable-works","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.sungreen.co.uk\/sg-press\/lydbrook-cable-works\/","title":{"rendered":"Lydbrook Cable Works"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p>I have just purchased a Centenary of Siemens Ediswan commemorative booklet.<br>One photo shows an aerial photo of Lydbrook Cable Works that I have not seen before.<br>It shows the railway bridge over the approach road intact, which I remember.<br>I was an apprentice at AEI\/Siemens Ediswan.<br><br>The centenary is Siemens Brothers 1858 &#8211; 1958<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Siemens Bros and Ediswan (Edison &amp; Swan) were owned or controlled by A.E.I. at the time.
