… This one has my Father, Wyndham ‘Bill’ Sage standing in the middle row, the 2nd from the left.
It may have been taken at one of the last meetings of the Lydney Council before the changes were made in the early 1970’s, or it could have been at the first meeting after the elections when my Father was elected.
I’m not sure if at that time it was the Lydney RDC or the Lydney Parish Council. I am hoping that through Sungreen I can get a more accurate date for this photograph.

I know my Father, known as either Monty or Bill Sage, was elected in 1973 for the “short remaining life of the Council” according to the press release following his election. However, as I was already living in Canada at that time, I have no knowledge as to when the group Council photograph was actually taken. I am hoping some other Sungreen contributor may be able to fill in more of the details about this final period of the Lydney Rural District Council.
