Tony Davis added: "... Before the 2nd world war the upper floor of Watt's Garage was a roller skating rink. Postwar the righthand side of the showroom was used for cycle display and sales. Watts was a main agent for most radio manufacturers and one of the facilities offered was the recharging of the accumulators (lead acid batteries) for people that had radios, but were not yet on mains electricity".
