Jaqueline added - A group trained by Mrs Warwick who performed at the Christmas Pantomime, Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs held at Lydney Town Hall in December 1949. I am the 7 year old girl 4th from the left.

Capacity audiences were played to at Lydney Town Hall when Lydney Juvenile Choir presented Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs. The kiddies thoroughly enjoy themselves in the pantomime which included almost 40 song and dance numbers.

The dwarfs, really comic characters stole the show but there was some fine singing by Snow White (Dawn Williams) the Queen (Betty Taber) the Prince (Roy Morgan) and Carl (Norman Swift).

Mrs M Dennis* and Mrs Maria Warwick deserve credit for their hard work which was reflected in the ability of those taking part in the ballet and speciality dances.
(*Can anyone confirm that this was Mrs. V. Mary Dennis, a teacher then in Lydney?)

The orchestra consisting of pupils of Mrs Simpson did their job well though it was on the pianists Mrs Davies and Mrs Humphries that the majority of the work fell.
