The Severn Rail bridge can be seen on the horizon beyond the Severn Traveller's cabin.
Alan Watkins added: "... I believe my grandfather, "Jack" Rimmer was her skipper before the Second World War. He taught my mother to swim by throwing her off the ship and into the dock at Worcester. It was a case of sink or swim.
