The Nellie Mary of Bideford in the river Severn off Lydney Pier taken from a glass magic lantern slide produced by A J Lumbert.

She carried coal from Lydney to N. Devon.

A report of October 1928 said that the Nelly Mary was built in 1882 and had a carrying capacity of 90 tons. She belonged to Mr Leslie of Appledore. She was damaged off Foreland Point in a gale while on a voyage from Appledore (N. Devon) bound for Lydney.

Alan Money added (Sept 2015): "... My great great grandfather owned this vessel in 1915 and the master was his son".
