David Gwilliam added "... I can see my dad, Ben Gwilliam, who was the the police chief for the Forest at the time, based in Lydney.....to the right foreground of the principal player in a blazer/white shirt".

Dave Nash added: "... The player looking straight at the camera is Tony Brown who was Gloucestershire captain for several seasons. As we look at the photograph the man in the very foreground of that shot with his head turned to the right is Keith Powell"... "the scorecard from this match (County Championship, 1963, Gloucestershire v Surrey, Recreational Trust Ground, Lydney, 24,26,27 August 1963 (3-day match)). I remember going with a friend on Saturday 24th for first day's play and I don't think play started until after 4 p.m".
