Lydney School of Art - recipes
Clive wrote: "... When preparing for our latest move Betty came across the attached piece of paper. It has survived many moves over the past 55 years, moves across England, Canada and the United States of America. Betty (Sage at the time it was given to her) was attending cookery classes given by Mrs. M. Rice at the Lydney School of Arts. This may have been the only ingredient list the class attendees were given as all the other recipes from that time Betty wrote herself in a lined notebook, which has also survived the travels and time".
Elizabeth Lal (nee Rice) added: " ... I well remember my mother being very busy preparing for her cookery classes each week and the lovely things she bought home for our suppers that evening. She was a wonderful cook and a wonderful mother. Thanks to John Ricketts who alerted me to this item. I live in Stow on the Wold and love to visit the Forest".
