Coleford Baptist Guild at Easter in 1925.

"The attached is as follows. Easter Monday 1925. Coleford Banker Guild".
"... Mrs Daniels who was Daisy Matthews. She used to come and stay in Coleford as her brother was in training at Lloyds Bank. The Smith family who were caretakers of the church living in the cottage used to treat him as one of the family".
Names are provided on the back of the photo but are not very clear :-

David Dowle added: "... I think this may be the 'Coleford Baptist Guild' (photo was originally posted as Coleford Banker Guild) team since there are some names in common with the 1919 team of that name. A photo of that team can be found elsewhere on the site but here are the names from it: Back row: C. Hinton, E. R. Pearce, T. Tyler, W. H. Davies, J. Payne, W. Tyler, A. S. Cole, E. J. Dowle. Seated row: J. Tyler, T. Smith, H. J. Baldwin, H. Dowle, A. Dowler (Vice Captn). Rev. Lovat Jones (President), B. Wintle (Captn.), F. E. Court, P. Payne, J. Cleed, Seated on grass: F. Fowler, B. M. Thomas In the 1925 team, H Dowle is certainly my Dad (Harold) and E Dowle is his brother Ernie. Not sure who R Dowle was unless it was their other brother Bert".
