The Shurmer family of Cinderford c.1930.

A photo of the Shurmer family of Cinderford

Terry added: "... A picture of my grandparents Elijah and Mary Shurmer with their daughters, May at rear, row 2 Gladys (left) Dorothy(right),at front,my mother Margaret . I think this would date from circa 1930".
"This was taken outside where they lived at Littledean Road Cinderford, the house number would be approx 70-80, it was known as the "Row", I believe it was demolished along with the old chapel to make way for the "new" access road to Hilldean".

Marian Bonser added (January 2018): "... These are my family too. May was my grandmother. Elijah and Mary would have been my great grandmother and grandfather I know of Aunty Dorothy and I think Aunty Gladys went to Wales to live. I cant remember Margaret and I don't know who the baby was. Terry Fawlk must be my cousin I've never met".

Terry added (January 2018): "... An update to the Shurmer family picture:- The baby in arms is Mary. Sister Barbara not yet born. Brother George not present. Sister Edith died in childbirth".
