Robert Harris added: "... Sid Walkley was a well known local artist, (painter)".

Alan Barnard added (Sept 2021): "... Sid Walkley taught me to paint when I was just 10 years old and I have painted forest scenes all my life. I remember his paintings for backdrops at the Wesley Church Pantomimes which I watched him do. I also participated as a child in some of these".
