David wrote: "The 'Pathfinders' formed by four boys at East Dean Grammar School c 1962/3 named after a type of railway locomotive, joined later by Brian Hardwick (now deceased) as singer, all five were from Cinderford. Played at local venues mainly working men's clubs, some may remember the coach which took the band and followers to events. The original group split in the mid sixties but the 'Pathfinders' continued for many years afterwards. The 'Lucky Charms' formed after the breakup of the original 'Pathfinders' by Brian Hardwick, David Humphries and Roy Watkins from Littledean. After David Humphries left in the late sixties Brian Hardwick and Roy Watkins remained as a duo developing some original work".
