Crawshay employees war memorial.

A photo of the memorial to Crawshay employees that died in World War I - 1914-1918

The memorial to: The employees of Lightmoor, Speech House and Eastern United Collieries who gave their lives in the Great War 1914-1918. Above the memorial is the Crawshay crest - a pile of iron cannon balls surmounted by the Cyfarthfa hound.

The memorial is in St John's church, Cinderford. Henry Crawshay lived at Abbotswood House, Buckshaft, Cinderford. Later the family moved to Oaklands Park and attended the church at Awre - where they have a family grave.
