Sherrie Ellis added (November 2017): "... first girl sitting on the left ( dark hair in a bob wjth the white dress could be my late mother Beryl Joan Meek, she always told me that there was a coloured lad in her class who's surname was Buchanan, if this is her then the photo is probably earlier, maybe 1940 or just after as Mum was born in 1931 & she looks about 8 or 9 yrs"
