Meek's from Maypole House, Bream meeting with family from Oakdale, Wales on day out to Coney Island. Charlie Camm lived opposite Maypole House and was driver on the day.

Thanks also to Colin Henderson.

Porthcawl was a popular destination for a day out from the Forest of Dean.

Brian Neale added (November 2015): "... my father's mother was born in the village of Sling in the Forest of Dean, which is not very far from Bream. I spent many a day together with my father and mother in Sling with my father's mother's parents and cousins who used to call in to see us. Porthcawl i think was the nearest seaside resort to the Forest of Dean although it was quite a long ride in a car etc to get there . We Lived in the Rhondda Valley which was pretty near to Porthcawl".
