Bream's only Public Conveniences at 'The Schools', just prior to demolition on 27 April 2005. We think that they were put up around 1950. In the background is the Garden Shed standing on the site of the Old Hard-Up Tree.

John Ratcliff added (September 2021): "... My initial thoughts were why on Earth would anyone want to post a photo of the old public toilets however, it produced a lightbulb memory of me sliding underneath the door because I didn't have a penny for the machine. Though long since gone for sure I wouldn't fit under it these days".
