Bream Schools, 1940
This photo shows Bream Schools during the severe winter of 1940. The Hard Up Tree is visible in the photo. The weather has had quite an effect on the cables which are almost at ground level. Hylton Miles remembers this winter as being so severe that ice could be seen floating down the Severn when he crossed the old Severn Rail Bridge on his way to Dursley.
