Bream - Old Cricket Club Building

Bream Institute (60k)

Although this is not the best of photos, it does show the old "tin" Cricket Club building and the old concrete Bus Shelter opposite Central Stores.
The building was formerly known as the Institute or the "Stute" for short. It was erected between July 1908 and January 1909 at a cost of £165. (Dean Forest Guardian - 15 Jan 1909).

Shirley Phillips added "I am fairly sure this (second person from the left) is my Dad, Stan Symonds, as he was very involved with Bream Cricket Club and spent a lot of time inspecting the wicket!".
