The girls were all members of 1st Bream Guides.

This Maypole was erected by Mr Melville Watts to mark the Silver Jubilee of H.M. The Queen in 1977

Karen Wildin added (August 2010): "... All the girls on this photo were members of the Bream Guide group and we learnt two Maypole dances for the Queens Silver Jubilee. Mr Melville Watts presented each of us with a commemorative silver spoon afterwards.
