We have deduced that this photo must have been taken in the summer of 1951, as my father's family left the Forest not long after this event took place.

After the Second World War, Mrs W. O. Davies was asked by a group of local men to form a Male Voice Choir. She obliged and remained the Conductor of the Bream Male Voice Choir for 38 years. In 1951 the BBC made a recording of the choir in Bream church.
