Eliza James (far left) photographed at Oldcroft. Born in 1840 at Awre, she married Joseph James on 6th October 1861. The other 3 people in the photo are believed to be visitors from Australia.

Karen Sessa added (October 2012): "... I am the great grandaughter of Elizabeth Morse Voice the oldest sister of Eliza Morse James shown in the photo. Although Elizabeth's descendants came to Australia from 1921, they are not the people in the photograph. I believe that there were other family members perhaps another of Eliza's sisters who came to Australia earlier. The names were Branch and Poynton. I also think that this photo would have been taken before they left for Australia as it would have been very difficult to make a trip back to England for a visit at the time.
