This picture is of the male voice choir at Whitecroft - on the front row third from right is Harry Preest (with his legs crossed) and second from right is his dad Will Preest. Both from Bowson Square, Bream. The photo was taken outside Whitecroft Memorial Hall. The white building in the background is the end of 'The Row'.

Yvonne Hill added: "... W.R. (Reg) Preest is No.10 in the second row. He sang (bass) with Whitecroft Male Voice Choir before becoming a founder member of Bream Male Voice Choir, so it seems to me that this photo was probably sometime in the 1930s/40s.
Anna Kerr added: ".. we don't know exactly when the picture was taken - only that it was after Uncle Harry (Preest) had come back from the war - best guess would be late 1940s/ early 1950s".
Pauline Ward added: "... Not sure if it is Harry Harris in front row, 6th from left!! Can anyone confirm this?".
Yvonne Hill added (September 2016): "... I think that this photo must have been taken sometime in the 1940`s since Bream Male Voice Choir, was formed around 1948 after the disbanding of the Whitecroft Choir. Many members of the latter joined the Bream Choir which became very successful under the baton of Mrs. 'Cis' Davies. (They even won at Eisteddfods - no mean feat! They also broadcast - and I am wondering if a copy of the record of this survives.......".
