Left photo: "Samuel Davison my great grandfather b. 1845 d. 1927 standing by what was considered the largest oak tree in the Forest. He was employed by the Crown as a woodcutter and enjoyed game shooting, a sport he carried on into his 80th year according to the account of his funeral".

Middle photo:
"Back row – 1. Cecil Liddington, 2. Bob Smith, 3. Cyril Jones,
Front Row – 1. Joyce Liddington, 2. Marion Jones, 3. Eileen Liddington".

Right photo - top "Miss Elizabeth Victoria Davison, Slade Cottage, Staunton, Coleford – My great aunt".
