In later years Harry's son Ron and his wife Doris ran the shop. The shop was converted into a private residence in the 1980's.

The Hudson family ran a Grocery shop in Ruspidge for many years. The shop (in 2007) is still trading and a road called Hudson Lane is located nearby. Alice died in 1945 and shortly after her family migrated to the USA. Her grand-daughter Barbara Anderson lives in Ogden near Salt Lake City in Utah c.2007.
