Chapel Lane Cottage, Redbrook, Gloucestershire.

A view of Redbrook with Chapel Lane Cottage on the right. (c.1990).
Paul added that the chapel itself was the first building on the
left. The owner ran a small cafe for a time in an asbestos builiding on the main road at the bottom of the hill.

Phil Hudson added that the lady above is "Elizabeth Hudson nee Little who lived between 1866-1959. She is stood outside Chapel Lane cottage with 2 of her 7 children".
Elizabeth Hudson is listed as living at Chapel Lane in the 1911 census and the 1939 Register on FindMyPast.

A later photo taken outside the same cottage. Phil Hudson added that this photo "probably dates from pre 1977 and shows Alice Hudson who was one of Elizabeth's daughters. She lived between 1897-1977".

Paul added: ".. ... the cottage was in fact two cottages years ago and the hallway part on the end was a "one up and one down" with a scullery attached on the side. According to stories the family raised 7 kids in this bit".
