Members of the Hudson family of Redbrook in the 1860s and 1870s?.
Hudsons - 1860s - 70s ?
Phil wrote: "... some of a set of photos in a book owned by Ken Hudson. The book was produced by Chepstow Photographic Studio. When Ken Hudson was clearing Wye House just before its sale in 2000-2001 he came across these photos. They are believed to be early Hudson's but unfortunately no names were recorded and its unlikely we will ever be able to identify who they were. The fashions suggest 1860's-70's but is anyone able to identify this with more certainty?".
Nicky Faulkner added (June 2024): "... I have a digital copy of the last photo of the older lady with the baby where she is identified as Priscilla Bevan nee Davies. She married Thomas Bevan and their son Walter Leonard married Hannah Jane Hudson. Possible lead there?".
Phil added: (June 2024); "... Nicky. Your description makes sense. Hannah Jane Hudson is part of a large Hudson family tree based around Redbrook & Penallt. He husband Len Bevan was a Tinplate Worker at Redbrook works. He features in a few of the Redbrook pictures on the Sun Green site. Look at the football pics and the home guard. Priscilla appears to have died in 1902 and Thomas Bevan remarried in 1905 to Clara Lewis
