Mark added: "... An interesting shot to add to the construction section of Severn Road Bridge; section T1 hanging just clear of the river, October 27th 1964. An interesting photograph, one assumes the sections were floated to position and then attached for raising".

John Ricketts added: "... Notice workmen on the cable walkway. This was used during the spinning of the main cable. It was made from a number of single strands of high tensile wire formed into loops over saddles at each side of the river the ends were then joined just once".
