Lydney Coach Works was in operation on Lydney Industrial Estate from about 1945 - 1950.

"Rolling Chassis" were driven to Lydney by a driver wearing a flying suit and turned into finished Buses and Coaches at the works. This bus is a 1950 Leyland 'Tiger' PS1 with Lydney 35 seat body,one of the last completed before the works closed in 1950.

Ian Thompson added (Nov 2012): "... I may well be wrong but the chassis looks like an Albion. V - a handsome vehicle".

Thanks to P Thomas who added (November 2014): "... Lydney coachworks started in 1947 and closed down in 1952".
