John Theyers added (April 2012): "... John Taylor (middle row, right) played rugby for Lydney, UAU, Gloucester, Leicester, Gloucestershire and Western Counties. In 1953/54 he captained Gloucester to what was then their most successful season and played for Western Counties against the All Blacks. I'm compiling a profile of John Taylor for the Gloucester Rugby Heritage website and would be interested in any information on his date and place of birth, early rugby occupation and life after his rugby career ended. Gloucester Rugby Heritage is a Heritage Lottery funded charity dedicated to preserving and communicating the history and heritage of Gloucester RFC".

Sheila Bevan added (June 2012): "... Middle row .Valerie Ellis was a student from North Foreland Lodge evacuated to Bathurst Park and studying in the sixth form".
