The floods in Lydney in 1968
James added: "... The little fair haired boy on the extreme right I beleive is James Storrar brother of Ian Storrar local dental surgeon ... the schoolboys could well be the Lowe Bros - Paul Terry from Viney Hill "
Eric Marshall added (Nov 2012): "... I remember some floods but they were earlier than 1968. I lived in the flat above Lennard's shoe shop, my Dad was the manager there. I can remember the water in the back of the shop but it did'nt cause any damage in the actual shop and we were alright because we lived over the shop. I got a job in Cheshire so left Lydney in 1966 and never came back to live in the shop because my Dad retired and they lived in Blakeney".
Glynn Brown added "... I beleive the man coming out of The Fleece is Derek Gardiner landlord of the Bridge Inn".
