Norchard Power Station near Lydney.

The Norchard Power station stood at the site of the Dean Forest Railway H.Q., at Norchard, near Lydney.
Ian wrote (Sept 2006): "My Father Vince Davies (B. V. Davies) Charge Engineer/Station Manager 1963 at the entrance of the Control Room. I can remember as a child going in there and having breakfast before going to school, that was in 1966".

Roger wrote (May 2007): "Pictured here in 1939 are George Leslie Dennis and his wife Elsie - always known as "Mollie" - nee Smith. George, was with the old West Gloucester Power Company and he switched on Norchard power station, when it was completed. Their eldest son, Arthur Douglas, is pictured on the 1925 Bream School photo. At the time of this photo, Douglas was serving in the R.A.F., having joined in 1934".
