George wrote: "... Lydney C. of E. School in Church Road, Lydney in the early 1900s. I can only date the photos approximately based on the date of birth of my relatives and their apparent age in the photos. Picture 03 (above) is probably about 1919 and my uncle, Bill Pyart (born 1909) is fourth from the right in the back row. The Pyart family lived in Station Road and at 71 Church Road between 1900 and 1960. My grandfather Ben Pyart worked at the Lydney Tin Works from 1900 to the mid 1950s, his cousin Trevor Edmunds worked the farm opposite St Mary's Church in the 1950s".
