James and Clara Miell of Lydney.

Steve added: "James was a dentist in the Lydney and Forest of Dean area between the 1920s and the end of the 1950s. They used to live (and Jim had his surgery) in Lydney in a house where Woolworths now is. The photograph was taken in their garden - this is now the car park behind Woolworths. Maybe some of your older 'visitors' will remember them?"

Jon Mills added (January 2017): "... I remember my father telling me when he was working for Callenders cables after the war coming home with a toothache, He knocked on the door of the house (pillars on each side) and the offending tooth was removed on the doorstep".

Mike Richings added (September 2023): " My mother and her sister were evacuated here during the war. James and Clara were her uncle and aunt. My mother, Doreen, who is now 92, still has very fond memories of living there and often talks about it".
