A Lydney fancy dress competition in 1936.

Anne wrote (October 2007): "This is a fancy dress competition in Lydney in July, 1936. My father, Harold McOwan then aged ten is the boy in the top hat, his brother Allan is to his right (front row)".
Anne McOwan Dobbs added (Jan 2015): "...I have just found in the British newspapers archives online the Gloucester Journal of the 5th September 1936 a report about the Carnival to help Lydney Hospital organised by the Primrose Hill (Lydney) committee that Harold McOwan along with Colin Nelmes won first prize and Stanley Hale came second".
