Lydney, an aerial view June 1967.
Clive took took this photo one evening in June 1967. John Thurston was the pilot of the aeroplane.
The Gasometer and former Registry Office on Swan Lane can be seen. Hill Street runs up the right hand side of the photo past the Library which is top right. At this time, Hil Street was the A48. Less than a year previously the A48 was the main route from South Wales to London. The Severn Bridge opened in 1966 allowing the M4 to take traffic from the A48.
