Geoff Allen added (March 2014) "... My Grandfather Raymond Parsons who worked at Arthur & Edward Colliery - as you know also known as Waterloo Colliery. He was one of the Shot Blasters and had an accident at some stage when one of the Blasts blew back and penetrated his hip - to which he had to have an xray at Gloucester Hospital, which in turn meant he had to have it operated on. My Mother Mona who is 93 has told me today of these findings and lived in Lydbrook most of her early life".
