Lydbrook football ground in the 1960s.

Two photos of a Lydbrook Athletic match in progress at Lydbrook in the 1960s. The photos were taken by Iris from School Lane.

Iris wrote: "This photo of a Lydbrook Athletic game, also shows the Old Schools (Church School - I think) which was one of the first schools in Lydbrook. It was used as a church hall and Lydbrook Girls Club held their weekly meeting there. I believe a Vicarage was built in its place".
Michael Stephens added (July 2007): "The white house behind the school rooms was bought by father Mr Harold Stephens in 1963 and he lived there until 1997, before moving to Berry Hill. The previous owner was a Mr Jones who had the house built in the 1920s".
