Lydbrook, The Jovial Colliers.

Mr River Jordan was a previous owner of the Jovials. He also owned other properties in the village . Some sixty to seventy years ago the end of the building with the double doors was the local fish and chip shop. This end part appears to be an extension as often the local pub would begin as an off licence. The present frontage has bay windows. The name Alfred Jones appears as landlord on the sign.
