Mr & Mrs Frank and Jordan of Upper Lydbrook

Michael wrote: "... Mr & Mrs Frank Jordan lived at Glenbrook next to Phelp's grocery shop. This at one time had been a public house - The Queen's Head. There were at one time Whist Drives held in the clubroom. Mr & Mrs Frank Jordan in the late 1920's became the first couple to adopt a child through the courts at Coleford when they adopted Dulcie, who was mother to me and my brother Robert. Mr & Mrs Frank Jordan were also one of the first couples to have a television in Lydbrook in the 1950's and can remember people coming to watch it.. The photo was taken pre 1956 as Mr Frank Jordan passed away in 1956. Mrs Hilda Jordan nee Gibbs remarried in 1967 and moved to Gloucester and she passed away in 1984".
