Looking at the uniforms Margaret thinks that this was either Coleford Secondary Modern School or Cinderford Technical College.

Roger Matthews added: "... I think this must be Coleford Secondary Modern School. I'm fairly sure that the boy in the back row to the right of the boy wearing glasses is Richard Wood. He worked in the early Sixties in a butcher's shop. I believe he went on to join Gloucestershire Police".

Dave Nash added: "... The lad at No. 2 in the front row and the girl with pencils in her pocket are wearing blazers with different badges - also a couple are wearing what look like different school ties.This would suggest a gathering that was taking place outside of school ... Spoke to Mike Jones yesterday (2nd May 2013) he believes this picture is more likely to be 1962 as he was at Cinderford Technical College then".

Derek Donaldson added (January 2019): "... 6 on front bench is William (Bill) Poulton who was a playing member of Coleford Town Band, before transferring to the Cinderford Town Band. Bill was also a member of Forest of Dean Youth Band from the time it was formed and also a long standing committee of the Glos Brass Band Association".
