Richard recalled: "... I think it may be 1948, I may be wrong, but when I went to stay on Wigpool I'm sure that I remember the quarry still working and the rail line up to the Tunnel".
Joyce Hodge added (July 2023): "... my late uncle Stan Baldwin was manager at the quarry. This would have been about the 1950',s when I would go with him on a Saturday sometimes and sit in the office and do drawing".
