Joyce's son Alan adds :
It's Sling FC probably either 1948 or 49, but possibly 50 or 51. My late father (Ray Jones) went on National Service in 52 so it's prior to that.

Derek Walker added (Nov 2008): I think the photo is 1951/2 because in 1957 I was at Ellwood school with a slightly older Max Thomas? - the young lad holding the ball!".

Max Morgan added (Jan 2009): "I am the young man holding the ball!. I think this was taken in 1949, making me about 3 years old. My Uncle Ivor took me to have the photograph taken.  My 1st cousin Dave Morgan also appears in the photo".
