The river Wye at Symonds Yat in the winter of 1928.

Two photos of Symonds Yat in the winter of 1928.
In the left photo are W. Blackburn (Sollars), and
Mrs Jones standing on the frozen river Wye, Symonds Yat, in front of the Old
Ferry pub. The rope from the Ferry can be clearly seen.
The right photo shows W Sollars at the Dripping
Wells, Symonds Yat. Again frozen water dominates the photo.
Pete Rollinson added (August 2011): "... The photo of the people standing on the frozen River Wye was not taken in front of The Ferrie Inn it was taken in front of the Saracens Head Inn Symonds Yat East."
