Phil wrote (December 2007): "...... a group of men and boys gathered around the Cross in Newland Churchyard. I think it dates from the 1890's and unfortunately I don' know any names. One of the chaps is obviously the Vicar of Newland at the time. The picture hung on a wall in Wye House next to the Bell Public House in Redbrook. Ken Hudson sold the house a few years ago after being in continual Hudson ownership for at least 200 years. I suspect there may be a Hudson or two in the picture.
