Oscar Harry added (October 2015): "... would like to know whether or not the Gazzard's are related.? Gerry I knew pretty well as have lived in Penzance a long time (now 78) and believe it or not played once against him in a friendly game. Would be interested in any more info you can supply. Gerry Gazzard later joined the Navy". - If you can help please click the link below - Ed.
Alan Cook added (March 2016): "...I'm Gilbert Cook's son and live in France. ... He's the only one in uniform-which surprises me as 1941 was right in the middle of WW2 so wonder why? He was quite a sportsman if I remember rightly and would have expected him to be part of the team. I think this was just before he was sent to Burma (and married my Mother who died last October) and is a lovely picture and so pleased to have seen it. He died in 1984 ... .
Ken Phelps added (September 2021): "...Ken Gazzard lived next to me, I used to go with him to watch football at Ninian Park Cardiff as a kid... His brother Gerry played for West Ham at some point in his career according to Ken".
