Mintec players

Brian wrote: "... The theme of the play was the Cinderford Home Guard during the war. It was presented by the Mintec Payers in the late 1950's. It was produced by a Mr Aveston. The actor in the middle wearing the hat is my father John Moore. The other actor on the far right wearing a hat is a Mr Baldwin".

The Mintec Players performed regularly at East Dean Grammar School in the 1950's.

Jason Griffiths asked (March 2017): "... Does anyone hold an archive of Mintec material? Would be great to track down the script of Homespun, and Limbo by Harry Beddington".

Mrs M Healey added (July 2017: "My godmother, Miss Sheila Smith acted with the Mintec Players and Mintec Players put on her prize winning (2nd prize in BBC competition) play, Defenceless. She also wrote and acted for Cinderford WI. I have the press cutting describing her success, one describing a performance by Mintec Players and a photo of her in her 'offic\' which was taken at the time".
